L hostel

Location and staff service were great, but the bed arrangements left something to be desired.

The hotel sits in the middle of Seoul’s main sights with good transport links and nearby restaurants, clean towels and rooms, nice staff, free ramen, a coffee machine, a washing machine, and a water fountain. The shower and bedding were good, the lift was accessible, and bus stops for the airport limousine were close by. However, the building is surrounded by restaurants and karaoke bars, so from 7 pm onward the area is noisy with drunken crowds and nonstop karaoke until 6 am. The room is well insulated, which caused a lack of airflow; after one night of using the air‑con, the hotel shut off the AC because other tenants were cold, instead of telling us to use the heating function. I asked for a fan, but none was available and we were told to open the window, yet the karaoke was still loud all night. In October the nighttime temperature dropped to 5 C, and I ended up catching a cold/flu.

“Great location, beautiful view of namsam tower”

I liked the convenience and location, and the view of the Namsam Tower from the rooftop was beautiful, but the bed was super hard.

“Gut gelungenes Hostel”

The location is really great, right on the “avenue of youth” with food, entertainment and shopping literally outside the door. The smaller rooms are fairly tight and the bathroom might take some getting used to, but everything works. I never had any problems.

“Super”

The location was top! We did a lot of walking. The room was a bit small but it was fine.
