The location is amazing and the view from the room was stunning. The room was generally good. We had booked a two‑bed but were put in a family room. The beds were very comfortable. It was clean and simple, just what we needed for one night. The reception was unmanned; there was a phone number you could call when you arrived, but you had to use your own phone. We also walked into the restaurant first, as there was no clear sign directing us. This could be easily fixed, I think. The room was good but missing a few small touches to make it better. There was a desk but no chair or stool, and an extra bin in the room seems to be standard in hotel rooms. Some space to put your washbag in the bathroom would also be a great addition. Our room was on floor 3 directly under the restaurant rooftop terrace. I think we were lucky as it was not a loud evening upstairs, but you can clearly hear tables and chairs being moved around. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room further down.

The location is great, an old hotel – but the rooms have been renovated – with an attached restaurant (it has a lovely terrace with a beautiful view of the lake). The staff is friendly and approachable. The decor is Spartan, no air conditioning, otherwise everything is fine.

The spot is right in Montefiascone’s heart, the room offers a fantastic view, and the hotel and restaurant staff were all friendly. Riccardo stood out as a great host, and I’ll definitely book again when I return to Montefiascone.
