The location was fine, but the stay was underwhelming and the price‑performance ratio fell short: we booked the Tauplitz Alm through a promotion at €166 per night, plus €16 toll and €4.50 parking. The room was very small, and basic bathroom amenities like a hairdryer and shower gel were missing, which is unacceptable at this budget. The €29 per person dinner buffet was also disappointing—only roast or a simple chicken‑rice dish with sauce, far too limited for the price. A bright spot was the Hungarian staff, who were always friendly and eager to make the stay pleasant, but overall the value proposition was unsatisfactory.
The hotel is very dog-friendly, the buffet dinner is good, and the staff are friendly. The TV, however, is extremely small.
