The location was excellent, the bedrooms were great for families, and the food and cocktails were good. However, the pool was smallish and overcrowded during the available hours, the room was merely serviceable rather than truly comfortable, and the selection of 4 wines was very limited for each colour.

The reception area was welcoming, and the open fire added to the vibe; the bar service was also nice. The room felt very dated and musty, and the shower required climbing into the bath to use; everything was very old‑fashioned. The breakfast (full English) had dry eggs that had been on heat too long, and the buffet offered too few choices, especially in the fruit and pastry sections.

The pool was very shallow; it looked beautiful but was unsuitable for serious lane swimming.

Great spot, staff were amazing, no complaints at all.

The location was fine, but the extra fee for a cot was outrageous even though we already paid for our two adults, and the room itself was cramped.
