The setting is truly dreamy and the staff are very friendly, but I booked a double room for single use and the lone chair in that room is quite uncomfortable after sitting for more than 5 minutes, and the TV from the bed is too small to be useful. Also, the signage inside the building, especially indicating where the restaurant is, could be clearer.

The location and the friendliness of the staff are positives, but during the day the bar/restaurant was closed and there was no way to brew a cup of tea; no alternatives nearby. The mattress had sagged, the small, outdated bathroom had mold in the shower area, and the bedroom floor covering had stains.

The location is fine, but for the price you’d expect at least some room amenities; there was none. In the hallway downstairs there was a Senseo machine, so if you don’t like coffee you’re out of luck.

We stayed only one night at this hotel in Kirchberg because of a workshop appointment and we were very satisfied; everything was very clean and well maintained. The receptionist was especially noteworthy—professional, friendly, and exceptionally helpful. Thank you for the warm hospitality; we felt very comfortable!
