We were looking for a place that would bring us closer to Gran Canaria than the usual tourist spots in the north and south, a family time in a deliberately extraordinary yet lived‑in setting, and we found that here. Marianela is a fantastic host who supports you at every step when possible. The cave house is fascinating and very comfortable to live in; it’s not a modern luxury spot or a polished four‑star hotel, but rather a rustic glimpse of traditional living. If you’re willing to make compromises, this is a truly special place, and for us a few days here were exactly what we wanted. My daughter said, and I think that’s fitting: it’s like a farm holiday—just without the farm, but with the same affection. The only downside was that the roads to get there are very narrow, which isn’t a big deal but a heads‑up for inexperienced drivers who want to drive large buses; that’s all that bothered us.
