“Cheap and not very cheerful. Pay more and stay elsewhere.”

We’ve stayed here for the past three years because it’s convenient for visiting family; the staff are welcoming and there’s plenty of free parking. However, the property is owned by Greene King and it seems almost no money has been spent on decoration or maintenance. The accommodation block sits next to the pub, and while the rooms are large, they’re terribly dated. The Wi‑Fi isn’t password protected and keeps dropping out. On our last day I found out the property is on the market for sale, which might explain the lack of investment. It’s on a very busy road with a 50 mph speed limit, making it hard to pull out onto the road.

“Pleasant and budget friendly place to stay if working in Blackpool / Fylde / Lytham”

The hotel felt a little tired, but the staff were friendly and helpful and the place was spotless and clean, though a refurbishment would be welcome.

The bed was very comfortable and the linen and towels were clean, but the accommodation needed a freshen‑up: the furniture was old and stained, there was no wall socket beside the bed, the carpet looked like it needed replacing, the paint was badly worn, the bathroom needed a facelift, the grouting was stained in places, and there was a faint smell of urine around the toilet.

the staff were helpful, would I stay again? I put yes but only if the internet was better at the moment it is crap the breakfast was very good. the internet it's crap. business people need it we need it to check our cctv
