The breakfast was surprisingly good. Check‑in time was strictly as written; we (a family of five) got two rooms in separate buildings, and when we asked if we could stay in one building, we were told yes but with extra costs. It was very noisy if other people didn’t behave, but that’s not the owners’ fault (there are no real night hours in practice even though they’re listed in each room).

It tasted like Svalbard at its best. Getting a taxi was easy because it’s a bit outside the town. It was nice to walk down into the town too 😊

The staff were very friendly. Our room had everything you need (beds, wardrobe, small table, shelves, towels). There’s a fully equipped communal kitchen, a living room, and four bathrooms on the lower floor. Everything is clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. There are plenty of spacious seating areas to chill in the reception hall, even floor cushions for Asian guests. The Wi‑Fi is great. We were satisfied with everything and would gladly come back. The best thing, however, is the view from up there. The stay depends heavily on the guests in the other rooms. Our room neighbor snored so loudly that you could hear it three rooms over, and on the last day a British school class moved in. But the reception offers earplugs for the night 😄

The facilities were very clean. Even though the restrooms and showers are shared, there are four of them in each building. They’re spacious and really convenient to use. The front‑desk staff are friendly and welcoming, and they can help arrange taxis for guests. Special shout‑out to the young man on duty the night we checked in – he was handsome and extremely helpful. The breakfast selection is also quite varied.
