The building is very well constructed, with excellent finishes: screens, air conditioning, a large bathroom and shower. Cleanliness is great, the owners are courteous, the place is quiet, and the courtyard and terrace are spacious. The breakfast includes products from the local agritourism. There’s also a place to park motorcycles under a large covered shed. Because it’s in the countryside, you definitely need a vehicle to get around and explore the area. Small suggestions: in the bathroom I’d add a bit more lighting and put a couple of plastic glasses on the sink—they’re always useful.

If you’re after calm, simplicity, and total friendliness, this is the spot. The Cascinale is tucked into cultivated countryside and doubles as a teaching farm. The spaces are simple, comfortable, and quiet. I chose it because it’s close to the Istrana Military Airport. A few extra pillows in the room would have been nice, and the “simple” breakfast might not satisfy fussy diners even though the items are local.
