We liked the cozy atmosphere, the breakfast was absolutely sufficient and very varied. The rooms were fine. Only a few meters to the thermal spa. Parking was a bit tricky because construction for the upcoming garden exhibition was happening, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

Right next to the Albtherme and Albcard, so 5 h of thermal spa. Breakfast leaves something to be desired when it comes to vegetarian options.

The breakfast offered a wide variety, something for every taste. The on‑site restaurant serves excellent cuisine. My room was well equipped and had a nice view, with a castle ruin visible right across the street; the orientation toward the parking lot didn’t bother me. We stayed only on the weekend, so we didn’t notice the ongoing preparations for the Landesgartenschau 2027 that require construction work. Returning for the garden show is definitely worthwhile – Bad Urach is a trip worth taking. On the downside, the building feels a bit dated, though everything is tidy and clean. The bathrooms are quite small, and there’s a bit of mold in the shower corners.

Das renovierte Zimmer war in Ordnung. Die Mitarbeiterinnen waren sehr freundlich und bemüht. Das ganze Haus müsste dringend renoviert und aufgefrischt werden - innen und außen. Schon der Eingangsbereich mit Rezeption wirkt sehr trübe. Die Albthermen sind nebenan, jedoch nicht über einen Bademantelgang zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, aber nichts Besonderes - Käse und Wurstaufschnitt eher von der günstigen Sorte, wie man es eher nicht in einem Viersternehotel erwartet. Brot und Brötchenauswahl gut, Rührei kalt. Großbaustelle vor dem Haus, auf die hätte hingewiesen werden müssen. Ein Preisnachlass wäre angemessen

A solid starting point for hikers, with friendly staff and good cleanliness. The room was practical and nice, featuring a balcony and a clothes rack. The evening buffet was simple but very good, and the breakfast the next morning was plentiful and tasty. Currently there’s a huge construction site, but the hotel’s information was okay. Additional thermal bath entries had to be requested; no info was provided about them.
