Hôtel Saint James, a 14-room boutique hotel, is nestled in a historic early 20th-century house in Biarritz's centre. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from iconic beaches, including Côte des Basques and La Grande Plage, and close to the harbour, convention centre, and Barriere Casino. Free WiFi and flat-screen TVs are featured in rooms on three floors. A daily breakfast is served from 8-11 a.m. at Le Café du Commerce.

The Halles district is fantastic, close to the beach and shops, and it's a lively area that feels great to live in.

The hotel is centrally located in Biarritz on the Place des Halles, close to everything. In the evenings there’s a lot of activity, and depending on the room you might be bothered by noise. We had a noisy ventilation duct outside our room, but it stopped working at night and we slept well with background music. Our room didn’t face the square. Breakfast was simple (croissant, bread, butter jam, juice and hot drinks) in the café below the hotel. No staff were visible; we entered with a code and found the key in the room. The Halles open in the morning, letting us buy whatever we needed. The downside is that the Halles get noisy at night, parking around the hotel is tough but the hotel had provided a list of free parking streets.

The hotel is clean and comfy, with helpful and friendly staff, a great location near food, drink, the beach and shops. It’s a busy area but the rooms stay quiet thanks to good double glazing. The facilities are excellent and check‑in/out is smooth. I’d definitely stay here again.
