“Lots of potential but the kitchen needs some work”
The house felt like a traditional Japanese home, warm inside with the scent of old wood and a rice paper divider; it could be great if the kitchen were upgraded. The kitchen was severely under-equipped: only a small plastic dish set, a fridge, and a gas camping stove were available, with no hob, toaster, microwave, or ceramic mugs. The dining area was a low coffee table with four full‑size chairs, not a Japanese floor‑style table, and it sat between two beds, forcing us to move chairs to the side and sit on the beds. We booked for five people because of the kitchen, but we barely used it; removing a bed to create a proper eating space and adding kitchen amenities would make this place a winner.
