The view of the ocean and esplanade was nice, but the rear facade looked storm‑damaged and the roof over the breakfast area had never been fixed, only patched heavily. From the outside the building looked dirty and mouldy, and the reception felt uninviting and in need of a refresh. A convenience store and bottle shop were advertised but both were closed, and there were many buckets scattered to catch dripping water, indicating a leak problem. After exiting the elevator there was major repair work that seemed to have been ongoing for a while. The rooms were acceptable, though the sitting area used outside furniture. Breakfast was included, but on both mornings I passed the restaurant and saw no diners, which I took as a sign of low usage.

Breakfast was included and the hotel sat on the beachfront, making it handy for city access. However, it had been renovated and was not presented well, and the price felt high for that reason.

The location near the hospital was convenient and the price was reasonable, but it was extremely noisy, which I understand might be due to ongoing renovations.
