“Really nice! Enjoyable stay.”
We stayed for three nights in September as a couple. The price was good, the rooms had everything needed to use as a base for exploring the island. We arrived late and the self‑check‑in worked perfectly. The beds were comfortable, the showers were good, and overall it was a solid stay.
The staff were pleasant, the room cleaning was good, the elevator worked, and the breakfasts were delicious at the café just two minutes away. The window faced an interior wall of the building, so there was almost no natural light and the view was zero. It also had a slight musty smell.
I kept pointing out that there was no toilet paper or soap, but it was often not supplied.
The spot in Mellieha is convenient, the room was cleaned daily, and the breakfast was decent even though it’s served at a nearby café. There was no reception desk, the room was very dark (only a tiny window looking at a small atrium), the shower was open with no door, and the bathroom had only two hooks, leaving no space to hang or dry beach towels.
“Eine bewusste Täuschung und eine Enttäuschung!”
The breakfast was decent, yet the promised buffet never appeared. The front‑desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the Wi‑Fi worked well. The bed was fine but a touch soft. The first bad impression came from the musty, moldy smell at the reception. In the room, instead of the advertised 25 m², we had only 12.3 m² plus a 3.1 m² bathroom, totaling 15.4 m² (see photo), and there was no sitting area—an outright lie still listed on the website. The “all‑inclusive” breakfast was also a sham, as we had to eat at a nearby bistro that offered only one coffee, one choice of toast, waffle, or pancake, and a smoothie. The room had a single window overlooking a narrow, dirty courtyard shaft, as did the bathroom. Ventilation was poor—no exhaust fan—resulting in a moldy wall (photo). The shower water leaked out of the enclosure, leaving the concrete floor damp and creating high humidity, which made drying towels impossible. The hotel claims to have a terrace with a whirlpool and sea view, but that only applies to the “Deluxe Double Room with Sea View.” Parking is supposedly included, yet we had to hunt for a street spot nearby.
