“Muchas luces y alguna sombra”
The restaurant was spectacular, and the room was very comfortable, cozy, and functional; the pool added a nice touch for relaxing, making it feel like an oasis amid the chaos of Los Ángeles. On the downside, the reception staff was problematic: a Spanish‑speaking receptionist left us mid‑check‑in, and then another person whose language was harder to understand took over; at check‑out the same Spanish‑speaking receptionist was supposedly absent, walked out to attend other guests, and when we asked for her we were told she wasn’t there, which was very confusing. The pool itself looked beautiful but the floor, hammocks, and loungers were dirty and some were broken, giving a very neglected impression. Communication about charges on the card was not smooth, and emails went unanswered.
