The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. It has a small courtyard that is an oasis from the stifling heat of the town. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the dining room was really lovely. Complimentary hot drinks are available in reception. The breakfast was beautiful and the only thing we wished was that we had more time to soak it all in. We had an issue with the positioning of our room due to the Jazz festival and the hosts were amazing in trying to accommodate our needs. They went above and beyond in trying to make us feel comfortable. The only thing that we didn't like was the fact that the early morning staff sat in reception flicking through her Instagram videos at a volume level that could clearly be heard in our room. Given that we had barely slept due to the Jazz Festival that was taking place in town, we did not appreciate being woken up very early the next morning – about 6.00am. I'm mentioning this here so that the owners are made aware as we left before seeing them in person. After their kindness, their staff really let them down and our lasting impression was tainted.

We spent three nights at Albarrada Hotel Boutique in Mompox and generally had a pleasant stay; the air‑conditioning was a lifesaver in the extreme heat, and we appreciated being allowed to check in early. Breakfast was good and all the staff were kind and welcoming, especially the young night‑shift gentleman who was very helpful. The practical tips at check‑in about avoiding sunstroke and mosquitoes were thoughtful. However, when we asked to have a few sweaty clothes washed, we weren’t told the price until the night before we left and were hit with a bill of over COP 192,000 (more than €60), which felt excessive for such a small amount of laundry. It would be better if the hotel posted a clear price list in advance so guests can decide beforehand. Also, a waste basket in the room would have made things more convenient. Overall, the hotel’s charm, excellent location, and the staff’s kindness made the stay enjoyable.

Rooms were nice and clean - including bathroom. Airconditioning worked well, and breakfast was nice. Lovely jugo natural!. We had our laundry done, but we forgot to ask for the price beforehand, and the price was just outrageous - aprox 190000 colombian pesos. It took away something from an otherwise good experience
