I stayed at a charming spot in Palawan where Sam from the UK, who just took over after it closed post‑COVID, welcomed us warmly. He cooked fantastic meals for both nights, and we spent time swapping life stories, which was really cool. He introduced me to his two kittens and offered solid advice on motorbike spots around the island. Though there’s no AC, the fan kept me comfortable. My bungalow was lovely, and the jungle night added extra charm. Nearby, Pirate Divers is a great dive spot. Highly recommend!
