The hotel looked like a 1900s dive, and the welcome was really friendly, giving us time to explain how to explore the area. Our room view was stunning, and the dining room view was equally beautiful. The staff were genuinely welcoming and “at service.” Breakfast was gorgeous, plentiful, and varied. The room itself was very simple and basic. During lunch we chose the set menu and were disappointed by the meat served—“beef side” had two pieces, one plate had more fat than meat, which was a let‑down in such a beautiful hotel. Dinner, however, turned out very good.
