The room we stayed in was spacious with high ceilings, making it feel even more comfortable and open. The location was excellent, close to the Old Town and the boulevards. The staff were also very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.

The best thing is the location. It’s only a 10‑minute walk to the F1 track and Mugnam stands. That’s where the positives end. I don’t know how the previous reviewers can give such glowing reviews, but I’ll give my feedback with photos so you understand. First, I stayed for 4 nights during the F1 event and the semi‑lux cost me 1800 manat. So it wasn’t great. Day one: 1) I was checked into a cheaper room 303 on the first night, with the promise that “for the next 3 nights you’ll get a fancy room with a balcony.” But that didn’t happen… 2) In the cheaper room 303, both windows faced the public balcony – those are the amenities, right? 3) I think the room 303 wasn’t cleaned because old city maps and notes were on the desk, and there was chewing gum stuck to the headboard, visible from the room. 4) After finding the gum, I went to reception and asked for something sharp to remove it. What was the reaction? They gave me a screwdriver and asked “does this work?” 😡 5) I also used that screwdriver to clean the shower drain in room 303 of someone’s hair. Day two: 1) The next morning I went to reception and asked when I’d be moved to the promised room, and I was told “do you not like this room?” After reminding them I paid for a different room, they said they would move me after 14:00. “What about the balcony room?” – well, no, you didn’t order that 😡 2) I arrived after the first check‑ins at 15:00 – they gave me the key to room 303 with the words “take your things and move them to your new room 201.” So the staff didn’t answer at all. I moved to room 201, the semi‑lux I had booked. Naturally, no compensation was given for the night in the lower‑category room. Impressions of room 201: 1) The room was very tired, but in better condition than 303 – see photos of peeled wallpaper, burnt lights, rusted bathroom fixtures. 2) No hair dryer or kettle. 3) The room faces the street where cars constantly drive.

The hotel’s spot right next to Nizami street was a win, and the service from Afsana and Ceyhun was top‑class. Ceyhun even promised a double‑bed room and ended up giving us a complimentary Royal suite upgrade when his colleague forgot to switch our room on the second day. It’s a great value for the price.
