“Decent if all you need is a place to sleep but hard, uncomfortable bed and badly needs updating overall. Friendly staff,”
The room offers a beautiful lake front view, but the peeling wallpaper, outdated TV technology, paper‑thin walls (and noisy neighbors for much of the night), lack of a bathroom exhaust fan, and aging décor make the stay less enjoyable.
“Love the location. Moldy dirty bathroom in room. TV and phone in room did not work. Angry staff.”
Two staff members were very friendly and helpful—one was stocking breakfast and the other worked at the front desk. However, a female front desk employee seemed quite unpleasant, acting as if she was angry and inconvenienced by our questions. On one occasion the door to the outside room leading to the fitness area was locked, and another time I was told that the TV and telephone in the room did not work.
“I will never stay at this hotel chain again. The whole place except the lobby was dated dirty and in need of renovation.”
The property was dirty and dated. The rooms looked unclean, with dirty and worn carpeting, a bathtub faucet that was running, and a bathtub/shower that was dirty and rusty. The first room lacked a refrigerator. We were moved to another room, and as soon as we opened the door it had an overwhelming mildew smell. I asked for yet another room, and the desk person said it was the last room at the level of my reservation and that if the last room wasn’t right I would have an up‑charge. I said if the third room wasn’t right I’d be leaving.
The place was noisy, which made it hard to relax.
“Disappointing”
The hotel’s location on the shore of Lake Erie was convenient for visiting family and friends. Yet the property clearly needs refurbishing; everything feels worn, from the carpet to the showers and elevators. The jacuzzi in my room was out of order, and the ice machine on the first floor didn’t work on the day I left. For the price I paid, it was a disappointment.
