Getting to Gare du Nord was easy. The bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the place was very clean. The room felt a bit cramped, but in a city like Paris at that price you probably can’t find a bigger one.

The room rate was reasonable, but the toilet lid was dirty… I asked a housekeeping staff member who was leaving the room assigned to me if she had a disinfectant on her cart parked in front of my door; she shook her head no, without speaking French (just nodding). What I’m upset about is that she said no while leaving the toilet glass stained with… you’ll understand. I just wanted to clean and disinfect myself if needed!

The hotel is close to the metro, and the rooms are large by Paris standards, which made my stay comfortable. The shower in the bath was hard to step out of.

The room was small, the balcony door didn’t open fully, the hair dryer in the bathroom didn’t work, the shower was slippery and dangerous to step out of, the bed was tiny, and at breakfast there were no fresh rolls and they didn’t restock cutlery or plates.
