The location is very good, and if it weren’t for the terrible treatment by the owner, I would have overlooked the lack of cleanliness and would have recommended the place. Booking doesn’t give me the space to explain how the whole experience was and to attach evidence photos, but I’ll put it all on Google. I booked a single room about 15 days in advance. That same day the owner offered me an upgrade to a larger bungalow with a kitchen, terrace, and sea view, telling me it would be more comfortable because I was traveling with my mom and my 4‑year‑old son. I accepted the upgrade and the owner asked me to pay by transfer right then to secure the reservation; I did, and she later confirmed it. When we arrived, we had to climb into the bungalow through very narrow, dark wooden stairs using my phone’s light. Some steps were loose and some sections had no railings. At the door, we were told that the bungalow we had been booked into was occupied by the owner herself. The owner explained that she had decided to change our room because the guests next door were smoking large amounts of marijuana and she wanted to keep my son from being exposed to the smoke. According to her, she couldn’t ask those guests to stop because “many do that” and because, she said, their policies didn’t prohibit smoking, even though Booking says the rooms are smoke‑free. The most unbelievable part was the solution she offered: she told me that if I wanted to stay in the room I had booked, I had to beg those guests to stop smoking, hoping that seeing me with a small child would make them feel sorry and quit. She even said that if they didn’t stop, “I could still let my son smoke with them.”

The views and the proximity to the sea were fantastic.

The staff were excellent and attentive, but I was handed a room that I didn't book on the first day, although they swapped it for me later.

The location is great—just a short walk from Playa del Amor, and Mr. Rey is always ready to help guests; the view is wonderful, though at that time of year the sea was in the background and its roughness was visible.
