Exceptional! We stayed in the main room and it looked straight out of a Game of Thrones set—everything was original, museum‑like, yet livable. Truly unforgettable! Note that if you’re after comfort, this isn’t it—the queen‑size bed and the door that doesn’t close fully, plus the noise from speaking, might bother you. The room has been preserved in its original glory and is lovely.

We absolutely loved our stay at Château de Bonnemare. It’s a beautiful place steeped in history and character. The owners and their son were incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming, making our stay feel special. The château itself is stunning, and you can really feel its history. Breakfast was wonderful and carefully prepared. We had an unforgettable time in the heart of Normandy and would definitely recommend Château de Bonnemare; I’d be happy to return. Nothing else to add—everything was great, and we just wish we could have stayed longer.

We absolutely loved our two‑night stay at this beautiful château. From the moment we arrived, the property exuded charm, history, and character. Our room was incredible, and staying there felt like stepping back in time. Waking up in a centuries‑old château surrounded by the French countryside and so much history was special. The beautiful interiors, architecture, and little details made the whole experience authentic rather than just a hotel stay. It was a memorable part of our time in France and let us see a completely different side of the country. A truly beautiful and unique place that we feel lucky to have stayed in. The only inconvenience was the lack of kitchenette facilities in our suite. Because the room is heritage listed, restrictions protect the space; only bottled water is allowed, and eating in the room isn’t permitted. There is a shared kitchen downstairs for storing food and other items, which was helpful, though having to go downstairs each time was a bit inconvenient, especially with tired children at the end of the day. That was the only downside. We understand why food isn’t allowed in such a special heritage‑listed suite, and it didn’t take away from how much we loved our stay and the experience of sleeping in such an incredible historic room.
