Lodging at the Gaffer Inn

JD, the manager at Burgers & Brew, was very helpful and answered all our questions. The place sits on the main avenue, making it super convenient and walkable. We dined at the street‑level Burgers & Beer, soaking up the local vibe and hometown feel. JD kept everything running smoothly.

“Excellent place to stay on our one night stop over on the way north.”

The property was in a superb spot, within walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Corning. The bartender helped us into our room. We tried any kitchen facilities, but we were only there one night. The bed was comfortable, and the room was very spacious. The room was a little dark; replacing a few lightbulbs with brighter ones would have helped.

No breakfast. Too many stairs and no elevator—this should be advertised. The shower had mold and the curtain smelled; I felt the price was too high for what you got. I don’t think I could recommend it.

“Great location - would not stay again.”

Excellent location. Dim lighting, noisy poorly functioning A/C, and somewhat smelly carpeting.

“overall, it was a great place to stay”

I liked being downtown Corning and there was plenty of parking. It was on the second floor and the only way to access it was by going up and downstairs, and I didn’t realize that when I rented the property.
