The pool view was open and airy and the cultural village was fine to explore, yet the room had zero soundproofing—conversations, TV and everything else from the next room were audible. A swarm of mosquitoes invaded at night, making sleep impossible, and the bathroom drained terribly, leaving water standing. When I asked to change rooms because of the noise, they refused, claiming the hotel was full even though many rooms were vacant. The reception was staffed by a single person juggling many duties and was unprofessional.
