I really enjoyed my one‑night stay at Gajah Mina Beach Resort, and I could have stayed longer. It’s a quiet hotel with its own beach and a peninsula that has a bat cave. The sunset was amazing, the food was tasty, and the hotel feels a bit worn but that’s part of its charm. The pool was crystal clean and the staff were welcoming. A great stop if you’re heading to West Bali National Park, as we were. Driving across the country and stopping at the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces on the way from Denpasar is worth it. The room could have been a bit cleaner but it was fine. I would still visit again.

“If you want to escape Balis mass tourism, because of its isolated location, this is a peaceful natural refuge”

The comfy bed in the lovely Bali‑style garden bungalow and the beautiful long pool with plenty of sun beds were great; the isolated location away from mass tourism had cool, green gardens and sunsets over the sea, and the restaurant served nice food; however, the “Secret beach” sea was a bit too wild to surf, and the smoke from burning dead, dry vegetation in the morning was a bit annoying.

The large, clean area, polite staff, cozy houses spaced apart so guests didn’t disturb each other, and the beautiful pool zone with a restaurant offering great views were positives; but nearby there were no shops, and the air‑conditioner remote stopped working in the evening.

“Je ne retournerais surement pas la bas”

The place is awful—everything is abandoned, the room is dirty, and the cherry on top is a 1h40 wait to get your order at the restaurant. It’s a disaster.
