“Ci siamo sentiti a casa, anzi, di più!”
We felt right at home, pampered and welcomed. The owners are friendly, hospitable and always ready to give us tips and advice about the area. We spent wonderful moments in great company (theirs). The house has everything, immaculate and comfortable. We’ll definitely come back! The only drawback for someone like me who sleeps lightly is the creaking of the wooden roof at night. If you’re like me, ask to stay on the lower floor so you can avoid the noises and sleep like a stone.
“Nos encantó, volveremos”
The hosts, Margarida and Antonio, are attentive and charming. Very welcoming. Breakfast included was abundant and tasty, always local produce. We liked everything.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this peaceful village—perfect for anyone looking to relax and unwind. The house is beautifully decorated, with incredible attention to detail and a great sense of style. It’s even more spacious than it appears in the photos, featuring two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a charming mezzanine with a library. The backyard is also a lovely, quiet space to enjoy. The location is excellent, close to several points of interest in the Arribes area, including the stunning Fraga do Puio viewpoint, which we visited multiple times. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, were the hosts. Margarida and António are exceptional—warm, generous, attentive, and incredibly helpful. They welcomed us like family and went above and beyond to help us discover the region. They made the house feel like a true home. There is honestly nothing to dislike about this beautiful home and these wonderful people. Highly recommended!
“Beautifully decorated and equipped village house in a breath-taking area”
The house has been beautifully and sympathetically renovated. The décor is tasteful, blending modern conveniences with an antique, rustic feel. It’s scrupulously clean and stocked more like a hotel than a B&B. The bed was comfortable and the air‑conditioning gave us a good night’s sleep despite the high temperatures outside. It’s conveniently located 2 minutes from a breathtaking viewpoint where we took wine and enjoyed the sunset. Margarida and Antonio were absolutely lovely, enthusiastic about the local area and provided an amazing spread of fruit, local breads and biscuits, and everything else you might want for a lovely breakfast. The village has a few cafés and is very picturesque for an evening stroll. The house is a short drive from Miranda do Douro where we did a wonderful boat trip along the international Douro river.
“Relax rural.”
The bed was very comfortable, the fireplace added warmth to the room and everything they left for breakfast was delicious. The hosts were very kind. The bedroom heat pump was broken and the radiator that was there didn’t warm the room well.
