The bed was comfy and the air‑conditioning excellent. The location was great and the bartenders were friendly. Room 102 wasn’t very soundproof; we stayed on a Sunday so the bar was quiet, but a busy night would have made sleeping difficult. It would also be nice to have a bottle opener or wine tool in the room.

I could walk to the restaurants and bars, but the water pressure in my room was really low.

The bar staff were friendly and the bar itself was great, and the room was clean and nice, especially the bathroom area. However, the hotel’s phone number feels like a joke—no one ever answers or calls back. When I got there, there was no sign telling me where the courtyard rooms were, so I had to ask the bartender for directions. When I finally found the door, the keypad with buttons was broken, so I had to use a straw to unlock it each time. The keypad was also very tricky; any tap counted as part of the code. At night we got locked out and had to sit outside on the bar patio for an hour waiting for the keypad to work again, almost sleeping on the patio. No one answered any of our calls for help, and after reading more reviews I see this is a common issue. I get that it’s a boutique hotel and I’ve stayed at many, but none have had zero customer service. Also, parking costs $25 even though there’s plenty of free street parking right next to the bar and hotel.

The bed was comfortable. The location was close to many other businesses and places to visit. The experience was very confusing. There was no clear check‑in location or directions. We had to wander through the courtyard and bar to find someone to talk to. We received pre‑check‑in texts but they didn’t clearly say you could just go straight to the room and that you could text with any questions throughout the stay. No one seemed to know anything about the accommodations; they all seemed to work at the bar. The floor and room smelled really musty and damp. It was dusty and didn’t look like it was cleaned very well. The bed had several mystery hairs, making me question if the sheets were fresh. We also didn’t get the room size we booked – we reserved a king deluxe and ended up with a standard queen room. No one was available to resolve the issue. Parking was also confusing – we had to try and find someone to ask and just guessed what to do. There was a permit in the room but it wasn’t obvious. The towels were ratted and mismatched. The pictures of the hotel look way nicer than they are in real life. Online it looks like a cute, contemporary, hip place. In real life – it looks like they tried but took a lot of shortcuts. It really missed the mark.
