I stayed at Nyne Hotel Anuprit in Bentota and was genuinely impressed. The ocean view is stunning, and the sunset I watched there was one of the best I’ve seen in Sri Lanka so far. The second‑floor pool just outside the rooms lets you swim while still enjoying the view. The rooftop pickleball court next door was a fun surprise and great for a match with a partner or if you’re traveling with friends or extended family. A small welcome box of local sweets in the room came with a description that felt personal and well thought out. The design and artwork from local artists give the property character without feeling overdone. The food was excellent throughout, with vegan, vegetarian, and non‑dairy options. I enjoyed lunch so much that I invited a few friends to join me another day, and it turned into a lovely afternoon. The option to have a curated meal prepared in the private kitchen would make it especially good for groups. It’s about 1.5 hours from Colombo, so it’s an easy escape.
