Great breakfast and a good location, with several places to go from there. Close to shops and restaurants. It was a bit hard to sneak in and out of the rooms when arriving a bit late; I felt like others were bothering me in the morning when I had to open my bag to change. But I think after 7 am you have to get moving.

The shared kitchen with the dining area was lovely, a really pleasant cosy space. It had shared foodstuffs cupboards for anyone to grab, which saved me when I needed some spices and coffee! I also appreciated the bathroom/shower block—each shower cubicle was a separate room with a lockable door, complete with a toilet and a sink, with more sinks outside the lockable units in the main bathroom area. The luggage storage room in the main building (I was accommodated in the other building across the road) was really useful, too—I could explore the nearby park without lugging my bag around before leaving the area a few hours after I had already checked out! Being able to check in quite late (I arrived around midnight and was told that’d be fine as there’s staff on site at all times) was greatly appreciated. And the location—it's very close to a wonderful big park that feels like a forest in the middle of the city, housing a host of cafés, countless walking and cycling paths, fenced‑off areas with a host of animals (including seals!), a petting zoo, a lovely playground, and a natural history museum! The hostel is easy to get to by train from the station, too. It’d be great if there was a bit more information on how the electricity works in the hostel (the card in the rooms, the button in the kitchen) as I only learned that from other guests, but that’s it; I don’t really have any actual complaints!

The free umbrella service was especially nice in the rainy weather. The bathroom and shower were a bit tight; it could have been a little wider.

The staff were lovely and friendly, and the beds were comfortable with curtains. It was a very nice budget option, and when I arrived the place felt pleasantly peaceful. I just didn’t get a chance to use the sauna.
