We had an amazing stay at Fumoto Ryokan. Everything was exactly what we wanted and more! The staff were very attentive, the meals were delicious, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I would especially recommend this ryokan for couples who want to bathe together, because guests have access to about ten private baths on site.

The staff were attentive. The only drawback was the lack of car parking.

The welcome was incredibly warm and the meals were exceptional, while the onsens were varied and private, making everything feel very relaxing. However, the noise was excessive—room 216 faced a very loud fridge that produced annoying vibrations, and the air‑conditioning units mounted outside added to the din.

The reception was friendly, with luggage help, parking service, and small treats; the room was spacious, and the onsens were beautiful, especially the women’s one in the bamboo grove. Dinner and breakfast were delightful kaiseki, and the village atmosphere invites relaxation and strolls. The only downside was the lack of window blinds or blackout curtains—what a pity!

The service and staff were amazing, the food was delicious, and there were dishes you rarely find elsewhere. The onsen was lovely, allowed tattoos, and the location was great, right in the town centre.
