“Wenn es irgendwie passt, unbedingt hinfahren.”
Spending two or three days in this tiny private hotel is a wonderful experience in hectic India. First, the quiet away from the big cities feels incredibly good. Second, safaris are part of the daily programme, where you usually spot leopards, crocodiles and many more. Third, the landscape with the large lakes is beautiful. Fourth – and really the most important – the hospitality, ambience and service quality in this 4‑room Edel‑Homestay are simply great. There is a personal, individual and unobtrusive accompaniment throughout the day, excellent homemade food and a particularly stylish atmosphere. You stay in a former mayor’s house on a nice square at the edge of the village, close to the rock landscape. The two owners, brothers, have an excellent sense for interior design. Everything is lovingly crafted, maintained and fits the surroundings. In this family environment you also get the chance to chat with other guests, which we really enjoyed. For those who want to learn everyday India beyond the tourist highlights, you can wander around the small town Bisalpur, optionally with personal accompaniment, and experience an atmosphere that cannot be imagined – you have to experience it. A tiny but valuable facet in this incredibly versatile country. Nothing at all. Our bathroom was quite small, but the room was huge, well furnished and magnificent. The safari service is very individual and high‑quality. However, the overall situation in this area (not a national park) is not optimal. There are many Jeeps at the hotspots because scouts share the current locations of leopards with many drivers, and then sometimes 20 vehicles line up at one spot – with the resulting disturbance also for the animals.
