I woke up to a loud alarm at 5:30 a.m.; it seemed like someone had been smoking and set the whole hotel on fire.

The spot is fantastic—under ten minutes on foot to the beach and groceries are close by. The staff were super responsive, sent me check‑in details, and had our room ready even though we arrived a bit early. The hotel was clean, affordable, and felt very safe. The bathroom was tiny, but the room itself was roomy enough for two people and came with a desk, fridge, and kettle, which was handy. We stayed in room 4, and the bed was horribly uncomfortable—every metal spring was felt in our backs, so we didn’t sleep well.

We liked that the place was only a five‑minute walk from the beach and that nearby shops were also just a short stroll away. The host and staff were very friendly, and we weren’t disturbed at all during our stay, which we appreciated. The villa sits next to Mamaia Boulevard; even though the building has double‑glazed windows, the daytime and evening noise was somewhat annoying when you want to rest. We also wished the room had a small refrigerator for those of us who bring a jar of zacuscă in a backpack and want to spread it on bread without going to the restaurant. Parking had to be found by luck, and we were fortunate to find a spot right next to the property because we were in the off‑season. I would give the location an 8 out of 10 for these drawbacks. We chose the place specifically because it’s close to the beach, and that was the main factor for us, so we had already accepted these risks beforehand.
