Very central in Salisbury yet quiet, and the drive without heavy city traffic was very relaxed. A great starting point for walking city strolls (30 minutes) and Stonehenge by car or bus from the station (15 minutes). There is a private parking spot right in front of the accommodation. Owner Mark is a gentleman and an excellent host – the place is extremely clean and lovingly decorated in typical English style, with spacious rooms and a high‑standard ensuite. Breakfast was freshly prepared daily and superb – nothing was missing!

“We would certainly stay at The Old House Guest House if we were visiting Salisbury again.”

Good choice for a full English breakfast. Fruit juice and a selection of cereals were offered, along with yoghurt and a lovely fresh fruit salad. Homemade jam was also available to enjoy with the toast.

“Lovely stay , A big thank you to the people who run the guesthouse.”

Our room was at the front of the house on a main road, but traffic noise was minimal thanks to good double glazing. The hosts were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was really good each day, with plenty to choose from. The bus stops right outside the house, so no need to drive into the centre of Salisbury. The only small problem was the parking, which is at the front of the house; there isn’t much turning space.

“Completely relaxing home to stay in. Truly wonderful family, never encountered anything like this”

When I spoke to Mark he mentioned coming into his house, and that’s exactly the lovely feeling you get when you step onto the property. It was simply gorgeous, run by Mark, his partner, and his parents who helped out in the morning with breakfast. So homely and such a lovely family. We were invited to stroll around their garden. The breakfasts were just wonderful, each room had its own character as did their home. Had some fantastic conversations with everyone, and they truly made you feel completely at home. I would definitely be back. The walk into the city centre is very pleasant and only about a 20‑minute stroll. Absolutely nothing!

Large, comfortable guest house with lovely rooms. Breakfast was included, which was excellent and catered for gluten‑free options. The door to the bathroom was an issue.
