“Lovely break in a great location.”
Our accommodation was excellent, spotless, well equipped and comfortable. The park itself is immaculate and only a 10‑minute walk into town. We found it quicker to use the path through the woods rather than walking down the road. Be aware that if you walk back in the late evening there’s no lighting on either route until you return to the park, which isn’t an issue in summer but in mid‑October we had to use our phones to light the way. There’s also a track that leads down to the Menai Straits but it’s best avoided because it’s very narrow and badly overgrown with brambles and nettles for most of its length. We used Molly’s Bar a couple of times and found the staff friendly and welcoming; we didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food, but the drinks were a bit cheaper here than in town, which was a pleasant surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coed Helen and would not hesitate to stay again. Highly recommended! The Wi‑Fi was quite poor, often dropping out completely, which also affected the TV with it frequently losing connection or freezing. No other issues, everything else was great.
