I had business in Elko New Market past Lakeville and chose this place in Forest Lake because it was the best value for the price I wanted; after bad motel experiences, I was glad to find this clean spot, with decent breakfast and a convenient location near Taylors Falls where I once lived—good value and a solid place to stay.
“It was just ok.”
The front desk staff were helpful and the bed was comfortable, but the room had a musty smell—apparently it used to be a smoking room—and the bathroom needs updating.
“We always enjoy our stay and come back annually.”
I’ve been coming back each year to visit family and friends, and the recent remodeling really impressed me—everything looks great. The hotel stays spotlessly clean, and I genuinely enjoy the breakfast and coffee they serve. The only downside is that the landscaping could use a refresh.

The breakfast was mediocre. Very poor lighting in bathroom. Only 1 luggage rack. The exterior of the motel was unkept, does not present good image. No elevator
