No hot water, thick dust on sockets and switches, holes in walls that hadn't been patched, towel rail fell off the wall in the bathroom on the first night, the toilet roll holder was broken so the roll wouldn't stay, the wardrobe cupboard had clearly suffered a water leak causing the chipboard shelf to swell and fall apart, and the toaster produced a burning smell when turned on.
