“This was a last minute decision to stay there and it was affordable.”
The spot was fine because there were shops and gas stations close by, but the strong smell and stale air were a real downside.

We picked this hotel for its value and its closeness to the Carnival terminal and the historic Torrance High School, where we even visited the Buffy Summers house filming location, but a strong cigarette smoke odor lingered in the hallway.

Overall, the stay was good: the room was clean and well maintained, and the housekeeping staff were pleasant, helpful, and smiling, but the bed frame made a loud noise with any movement—probably because it’s metal—, the air‑conditioner was noisy and the thermostat was hard to set, the room on level 3 was exposed to washing machine noise, and the soundproofing was poor; we could hear other rooms’ conversations clearly even around 1 a.m.
The room had everything you could need—fridge, microwave, coffee machine—and the towels were changed on the second day, but only one small soap was supplied, which is barely enough for two people, so that was a small gripe.
