The location was great and the restaurant staff were lovely. The booking process was confusing and the hotel terms didn’t match what was shown. They insisted on taking all my card details even though I’d already paid, because of a change of ownership. That worried us and spoiled the stay, especially with the threat of fines for possible damage, making us uneasy about the clientele.

The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room wasn’t clean; the shower tray was dirty and the shower dripped all night. The TV remote was stuck together with sellotape. We could hear everything from the room next door. We’d stayed before and it wasn’t nice.

The location was good. The room was dated and worn; bathroom tiles were broken, the TV barely hung on the wall, and we got locked out because no one answered the bell after 11 pm.
