I had a disappointing start to my stay when I arrived before check-in time and was greeted by staff who spoke to me in a rude tone, essentially telling me I wasn't welcome until the official check-in time. The room itself felt like a blast from the past, reminiscent of the 1950s in a communist country - it seemed like everything, except for the modern TV screen, was still from that era.

I had a great stay at this hotel, enjoying the friendly staff, clean and comfortable spacious room. The location was also convenient for taking a local taxi to Phang Nga Bay, where I spent a beautiful day on the water. Additionally, I appreciated the delicious early morning buns and rice soup available across the street.

While the beds were comfortable, our room was unfortunately plagued by mold, which was a problem for all of us.

The staff at this hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, with the owner even organizing a special outing for us to visit the Royal temple in the city. They were always willing to lend a hand, and I was touched by the thoughtful birthday card and magnet I received on my last day. However, I did find that transportation was a challenge, especially during holidays, and the hotel itself felt a bit dated, although the rooms were spacious and clean.

I was thoroughly impressed with the spacious room that came equipped with a refrigerator, it really made my stay feel like home. However, I did notice that the decor could use a bit of an update to match the modern standards of the hotel.
