The owner was very nice, and after a long journey we still received a sumptuous cheese sandwich late at night. The service was very attentive, the breakfast excellent, the room clean and modern with a great shower, the setting was very quiet, and it was the perfect base for nature trips—nothing to criticize.

The hotel was very quiet, which was good for us and our dog. However, our double bed collapsed during the night, forcing us to spread the mattresses on the floor to sleep a bit after the shock. The owner, when I complained, said he couldn’t change it and that it wasn’t a big deal. I asked if the price could be reduced because of this, and he firmly refused, insisting on the full €190 for the stay. I can’t understand how a proprietor can do this without a guilty conscience.

The price was a bit high, but otherwise I highly recommend it. There is a large parking lot next door.

Our stay at this hotel in the Rhön was flawless. The location is unbeatable: wonderfully quiet yet a stone’s throw from the Wasserkuppe – perfect for trips and hikes right outside the door. A highlight was the superb breakfast; the selection was huge, everything fresh, and it was the perfect start to the day. I recommend the restaurant for a cozy evening. We enjoyed the relaxation and beautiful nature and will definitely return!
