The place was great—central spot, staff were friendly, breakfast was good, and nothing to complain about.

The bed was comfy and the room stayed clean, but it isn’t handicap friendly. I booked a handicap‑accessible room, was told it would be, but it wasn’t; I’m in a wheelchair and the office itself isn’t wheelchair accessible, so I had to bring someone with me. The bathroom doors are too narrow to fit my wheelchair.

We stayed at the Fireside Inn while visiting family in Waterville, and the property was very clean, well maintained, and had a lovely restaurant.

The hotel was very accommodating with a handicap room, and we would have had to change reservations if my husband had to climb any stairs.
