I strongly advise against staying here. When I arrived, the owner tried to cancel my booking so I could pay directly. I had to call booking myself and negotiate the cancellation for an hour because she couldn’t do it herself, leaving me in the lobby with my luggage. After the cancellation, she showed me a room overlooking a horrible parking lot and there were a lot of construction works around the building, so the hammering noise was constant. In that situation I told her I’d rather leave and book another hotel. She screamed at me, didn’t let me speak, and forced me to pay for the room. She was unprofessional; that’s not how you treat guests even if you disagree. She yelled at me for at least 20 minutes and wouldn’t let me leave. I had to pay her a night’s compensation for her to let me go, otherwise she threatened to call the police. She had cancelled my reservation and then forced me to stay, while the room didn’t match the description. Beware—this hotel is nothing like the photos, it faces a nasty parking lot and everything is under construction. It’s also not really close to Dukezong. I recommend Shangri‑La Xiwei Muye Holiday Garden Minsu (Dukezong Ancient City Shop) instead; it’s a great hotel in the center. Don’t book with this nasty, unpleasant owner. I lost my time. The rooms, location, and service are not worth the high prices compared to nearby hotels.
