The listing for the room is misleading; it is not a loft but a basement without windows. Our room claimed to have a “balcony,” but it was a dusty 20‑plant balcony inside the same apartment that didn’t open to fresh air. There was no air conditioning and the fan didn’t work. Smoking was banned in the apartment, yet other residents were smoking marijuana and the smell drifted into our room, making it impossible to sleep. Because there were no windows, the dust piled up and triggered an allergic reaction. We only stayed one night out of the three we had booked and had to move to Hotel Agumar, which is highly recommended and even cheaper than what we paid for this basement. We met two neighbors twice who told us that this place had been under investigation since February for being illegal and unregistered, and there was a notice on the door when you entered the basement. The keys we were given to open the room door and the entrance were difficult to use, as they were copies of copies and the room door was cut off.

The location and the available kitchen were good, but there was a lack of human interaction except for the friendly cleaning lady. In the room, the size of the television blocked the door.

I want to say that the experience was fatal and frightening. This is a basement converted into mini‑rooms that are not legal. When I went down, a landlord from the upper floor appeared and told me he could call the police and that they had an ongoing legal process. I could only sleep one night and left the next morning at the first hour. I didn’t book to be threatened and have the police possibly arriving. The place is not legal.

It was close to restaurants and central buildings and the TV was available. The room was a small cellar apartment with no windows, a small bed for two people, and neighbors were very disruptive when showering in the middle of the night. The AC was hot and couldn’t be regulated. There were no staff on site to ask for help, and the price was high for such an uncomfortable apartment.
