Dartmouth Green Lodges

The lodge supplied everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The living area and kitchen were clean and well equipped. The beds were comfy and the bedding spotlessly clean; it was a luxury to have ensuites for each bedroom. I had a problem charging my mobile phone and the staff were very accommodating. Overall the lodge was clean, but the windows on the property need a thorough cleaning (inside and outside) and the outdoor areas on each floor also need attention. The interior décor was good quality, yet the small faux leather chairs in the living area make it look a bit dated.

“Comfortable nice home with three ensuite bedrooms”

This was my third stay at this property. Three ensuite bathrooms make it easy for five adults. The spa was wonderfully accessible. We also used the gym. The location is great. The veranda with furniture was nice to sit outside on. Only one hair dryer for potentially six adults to share. There aren’t enough utensils, plates, knives, and people to last for a day. We had to take items out of the dishwasher to clean during the day. The balconies and the furniture in them are very uncared for, so we didn’t go out. The wifi was weak and intermittent. The tennis court needs maintenance.

“Reception staff amazing and very friendly, also helped with restaurant suggestions.”

The lodge was fantastic and offered great value. I booked it for a birthday on a self‑catering basis, and its location works well for Dartmouth and Salcombe. I tried the breakfast offered by the hotel one morning, but the staff were not very helpful, the juice ran out, and there was no assistance for the self‑cooked breakfast as promised, plus no oat milk was available.

“I think we will definitely come back every year for a vacation”

The property sits in the lap of nature, far from crowds and with a quiet setting. However, the roads leading to nearby attractions were too narrow for us and made driving time‑consuming, even though the roads themselves were in good condition.
