“One of the worst hotel experiences”
I have stayed at hundreds of hotels, hostels, and ryokans across Japan, and unfortunately, this was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had. 1. Entrance and stairs: The hotel is located on the 3rd and 4th floors, and we had to take stairs that were completely dark and had no lighting at all. It was unsafe to go up and down, especially while carrying luggage. 2. Extremely concerning bunk bed safety: The bunk bed was one of my biggest concerns. The upper bunk had no protective railing or guard at all. Although I am an adult, people can move unexpectedly while sleeping, especially in an unfamiliar place. The upper bed was around 5 feet (1.5 m) above the floor, so falling from that height during sleep could result in a serious injury. This is not something I consider a minor inconvenience; I believe it is a genuine safety concern that should be addressed. I am also looking into how this safety issue can be formally reported. 3. Cleanliness: The overall cleanliness was poor. The towels had an unpleasant odor, and the bedding appeared dusty. We were actually sneezing because of the dust, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. 4. Noise – we could barely sleep: The biggest problem during our stay was the noise. A young guy in the next room was extremely loud late into the night. He appeared to be staying there long‑term and was watching videos/reels and laughing loudly until very late. Then, from around 5:00 AM to 6:00 AM, his alarm repeatedly went off. 5. The room was small and very narrow. The room has virtually no sound insulation, so we could hear almost everything from the neighboring room. On top of that, the window could not be completely closed because a large pipe (for the heater I guess) passes through it. We were barely able to sleep at all. I understand that this is a budget accommodation, and I was not expecting luxury.
“2段ベッド貸切でお得でした”
The good accessibility and nice view were positives, but the walls were thin.
“Breve soggiorno a Sapporo”
The building is comfortable and has everything you need, although it's very basic. Checking in was easy, but I had to send a photo of my passport (I would have liked to know that beforehand so I could send it from home, but everything worked out fine). The moment a truck passes on the street, the whole place shakes like an earthquake.
“コスパさいこう。”
It was great that the kitchen and washing machine were freely available.
The bus to the airport was direct.
