The location, unique art, historic building, and charming courtyard were positives. It was noisy because of thin doors and windows—you can hear neighbors and people talking in the courtyard, so bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper—plus the bed was very uncomfortable, super hard and needs more cushion, and service was okay.

The staff were really nice and the place is in a great spot. The courtyard was beautiful. Check‑in was at 12, I arrived at 2 pm and had to wait because the room wasn’t ready. It’s very loud and guests and late‑night staff are not considerate at all for people sleeping. The cobblestones don’t help but they add to the charm, of course. My bathroom looked quite dated and tired.

The location is super good. The room is quite old, the floor creaks when you walk, the bed is very soft. One day we had no hot water for a shower. The same “complex” has a restaurant, so there’s a flow of people talking outside frequently. For the price charged, I didn’t think it was worth it.

The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, and the location was absolutely perfect. The historic building has so much character and a lovely, traditional Peruvian feel. We stayed before and after our trip to Machu Picchu, and we really appreciated how the staff responded to our concerns. After we mentioned the noise in our ground-floor room, they arranged an upstairs room for our return. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Sound carries quite clearly between the floors. On our first night in a ground-floor room, we could hear people walking upstairs, which made it very difficult to sleep. The wooden floors are quite squeaky, which seems to be part of the character of an older building, but it is worth knowing if you are a light sleeper. Thankfully, the staff were understanding and arranged a different room when we returned
