The lodge's setting on a well-manicured estate was a highlight, with a serene view of a pond and woods that made for a peaceful getaway. However, we were a bit let down by the interior, which didn't quite live up to our expectations given the nightly rate. The room took ages to warm up - it was a chilly 17°C when we arrived - and the kitchen and dining area needed a good clean, with sticky surfaces, a grimy oven, and greasy cabinet undersides.

This place was a pleasant surprise - the lodge was really spacious and had a great layout. No major complaints here, just a solid, comfortable stay.
