The hosts were wonderful, the spot was beautiful and peaceful with magnificent views, and the breakfast was tasty.

From the garden terrace, which is exclusive to the apartment, you get a great panoramic view of the mountains and the sea.

If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!

Wonderful hosts, a delicious breakfast, a perfect location, a comfortable room, and stunning views - everything about our stay was excellent. Overall, a relaxing and fantastic experience!. The only small downside were the pillows, which were a bit higher than we’re used to, but it didn’t take away from an otherwise fantastic experience
