We stayed two nights and it was a great experience; the host lady, who didn’t ask our names, was super nice and caring even though neither of us spoke Turkish and she didn’t speak English, yet communication worked out 😃 the house itself is very nice with a wooden ceiling, rooms are basic but clean and comfy, and the breakfast was the best we’ve had in Turkey, abundant and full of homemade items plus garden vegetables and fruit; the guest house is a 2‑minute walk from the old market and there are several restaurants and bars nearby for beer.

A very welcoming typical building where history shows itself as soon as you cross the threshold, and a couple of hosts who make the experience even more immersive and cozy; Turgut and Nalan are not only attentive hosts but also great housekeepers, and staying here feels like staying in someone’s home rather than just renting a room, all without compromising on services that are worth exactly what you pay: a clean room with all the essentials (given it’s a historic building) and homemade, plentiful breakfast.

“Аутентичный отель с радушным обслуживанием”

The place sits at the edge of the old town, quieter at night, with two free parking lots nearby; the interiors feel authentic, like staying in a museum, with lots of textile on walls and floors, and breakfast was delicious. The host was extremely kind, even knitting, and we bought a handmade item from her; the mattresses and pillows were good and there were warm blankets, making sleep very cozy. Water was sold for a fee, the bathroom door wouldn’t close and was warped, the shower shared the toilet, you need to bring your own slippers, you have to remove shoes at the entrance and the floors are cold—rugs help but there are none in the bathroom. These are minor issues that didn’t spoil our stay.

“Séjour authentique”

Exceptional breakfast with many homemade products; the accommodation is in the old town, a typical old house; the welcome was charming, offering a cold drink upon arrival and tea in the evening; we felt comfortable, the owners are very attentive, and cleanliness is impeccable; for parking, call ahead or park a little outside as space is scarce and traffic is difficult, and because it’s an old house there is no soundproofing.
